It’s a rare occasion to catch me not wearing heels. I am a self-confessed shoe addict and I have no intention of breaking my habit. But after a day of work and a night out on the town in 6inch heels my feet are swollen twice the normal size.

So this winter I’m adopting The Three C’s: Comfort, Chic & Cool. Wear comfortable sneakers/high-tops with a wool peacoat for chic styling or a fur vest for a cool effect. Your feet will love you for it!

Summer has certainly taken its time to get to New Zealand but we are not complaining. It just means that we get to enjoy a couple more weeks painting our nails in delicious ice-cream flavors. Mint, chocolate, lemon and peach are some of our favorite summer hues. All this sweet talk has made me crave something yummy and gooey. I think I’ll pop down to the store now…

Who is this cat that keeps popping up on the streets of NY Fashion Week? The Opening Ceremony x Glamour sweaters have caught the attention of  many fashion bloggers including Susie Bubble and Hanneli Mustaparta. Susie Bubble has gone totally cat crazy by matching it with a pair of “Va Va” Karen Walker sunglasses. We think we’ll be seeing a lot more of this little kitty on our shores this coming season.

The best of NY Fashion Week F/W 2012: Street Style

Christina Hamilton’s MA show from the London College of Fashion shows a real sense of functionality and style. By adopting the traditional craftsmanship of saddle making Christina has transformed the ordinary bicycle pannier to a true fashion artefact. Check out her other chic cycle creations here.

I know this is past news but I’m still obsessed with the designer collaboration campaign by Versace for H&M F/W 2011-12 . It was a mix of East meets West with accented gold aztec patterns and geisha inspired outfits. The brightly coloured hawaiian shirts reminded me of the 1996 ‘Romeo and Juliet’ movie starring Leonardo de Caprio and Claire Danes. My personal favourite is the yellow mini dress adorned with gold studs. I hope you love it as much as I do.
