Soundmeister Michel Gaubert dubbed Chanel’s Resort 2013 collection, the hybrid “Ghetto royale”, which I think wraps up the entire show pretty well. Never being one to shy away from over-the-top extravaganza, Karl Lagerfield presented his sci-fi-meets-Marie-Antoinette collection against the luscious, fountain-filled gardens of the Palace of Versailles.

Lagerfeld said he wanted something floating and frivolous. “Frivolity is a healthy attitude,” he said after the show. “I know people who were saved by frivolity.”

Some of the dresses have already walked the red carpet but I think the metallic platform trainers are going to have the most amount of stardome power. I’ve never been a huge fan of platform trainers but after seeing this show I am starting to open up to the idea…

What are your thoughts?

After much thought, I decided to change the theme of my blog because I didn’t like how the social media buttons were at the bottom of the page. Also, I get inspired by being in a new environment so I hope to become more proactive with this new look!

So the other day I was reading one of my favorite blogs apairandspare and I came across a paper bag DIY project. I’ve always loved the idea of up-cycling objects for a new purpose so naturally I began think about turning this everyday object into a desirable collectors item.

I found this photo of Miroslava Duma in Louis Vuitton Spring 2006 jacket (yes it is a little out dated)  and I absolutely fell in love with the geometrical color blocking. So I started to sketch some ideas of how this could be translated into a paper bag. Here are some of my sketches.

I hope you like them!

It is getting really cold these days and I’m finding it harder and harder to get out of bed in the mornings. That means it’s time to wrap up in winter snuggies. I like to throw on a jumper dress because it’s easy without the hassle of having to wear lots of layers.

Here are some of my faves x

FriendinFashion wearing Alexander Wang jumper dress & cape shoes.

Eleonora Carisi from GraziaIT  wearing Daniel Palillo dress & Zara shoes.

Penoy Lim does it again, this time in a sexy-prep look. The socks are so practical for those cold mornings. Save at ASOS or splurge on the ones below by Henrik Vibskov.

It’s one of those colors that have multiple personalities and can transform itself to suit every season so here I am doing another bloggers tribute to…yellow.

Ezgi Kramer in the Tuileries before Chloé’s AW12 Show in a yellow, flowing Chloé skirt, Marni for H&M jacket, Alaïa shoes & Stella McCartney bag.

I love this style because it is so hard to wear gaucho pants and look so chic. Find similar gaucho pants at and heels from Tony Bianco.

Model Frida Gustavsson ups the golden hue for Spring and tops it off with bumblebee sunglasses to match. Take note of the scallop sleeve cut, love it! Find similar dress at and sunglasses from Karen Walker Eyewear.

For summer, it’s all about ease. I love this white on white ensemble by Joan Small and I wish I had these Isabel Marant Navajo jeans (sold out).

How fun is this Monsterwear egg shirt worn by Alice Goddard!

The thing I love most about this top is in the detailing. The cracked egg is designed by tiny sequins and the sheer overlay creates a subtle layer effect that doesn’t take away from the main graphics feature.

Since this morning, it has been raining on and off all day. But rain is an understatement. The sun is so bright with beautiful blue skies and the rain so light that it almost looks like snow. I tried taking a photo but it didn’t do it justice so instead I have created a photo board inspired by todays’ whimsical weather pattern.

Happy Friday everyone!
